چکیده
No one can deny that COVID-19 has spread around the world and is still emerging as a new variation in some areas. Since time of its breakout, three coronavirus waves have emerged. Daily cases from 79 countries were selected for study. The main objective this research was to model analyze behavior disease's first wave on Asian continent using functional data analysis methods. Functional models fitted B-spline basis functions at different orders, best-fit curves further analyzed with respect their rate change. These visualized during preliminary later clustered within each cluster analysis. results indicated all continents, apart Asia, had two clusters based behavior, whereas clusters. All continents except forms numbers peaks, but they same number world's 18 divided into categories, remaining 61 single group. identified indices modeled multinomial logistic regression six popular health index variables. In world, people over age 70 made significant contribution selecting 2 1 3 2. On continent, female smoker variable preferred 1, while could be determined by median variable. findings overall study would helpful researchers understand disease impact behavior.

متن کاملData, information, and knowledge amidst the COVID-19 pandemic
Converting data into information, knowledge, and then wisdom is the most onerous part of science, especially biological sciences. More attention must be paid to the difficulty inherent in this process amid the emergence and the spread of a novel virus, since neglecting the distinction between these epistemic categories can lead to incomplete and even incorrect identification of the causes and t...
